The Norm Wins the Road to Roo Athens City Finals

The 40 Watt Club in Athens was the final stop for the city’s Road to Roo competition for three bands.  The Norm, Revel in Romance, Hunter Callahan and Grand were the bands competing to represent Athens in the Georgia Road to Roo state finals.  One band from Athens would continue on the Road to Roo and head to Atlanta to compete in the Georgia Road to Roo state finals.  This annual, battle-of-the-bands tournament provides local artists and bands an opportunity to play the 2018 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival this June in Manchester, Tennessee.

Moving on to Road to Roo State Finals is The Norm!  The Norm is the duo Bryan Rucker and Ryan Bars.  The Norm combines hip-hop, rock, and pop to formulate a sound they like to refer to as “hip-rock.”

See The Norm continue their quest on the Road to Roo on April 12th at Sports & Social in Atlanta.    Until then, add The Norm’s two albums,Everyday People  and Normaltown , to your music library.  You can hear their music on Spotify and SoundCloud.
