Every month Fountaine Lewis brings a specially curated jazz show to Marietta as part of his Marietta Jazz & Jokes series. These events bring both national and local performers to the stage at venues in Marietta. This month’s musical selection for Marietta Jazz & Jokes featured saxophonist Antonio Bennett and singer songwriter Karen “The Voice” Bryant.
The crowd at tonight’s sold out event was there early and settled into their seats in anticipation of tonight’s show and to setup their tables. With a focus on the music and the venue Marietta Jazz & Jokes gives music fans a chance to bring their own food and beverages. Armed with picnic baskets and wine carriers the spreads on everyone’s tables varied from veritable feast to simple wine cheese and crackers.
If you are looking for a place for live jazz in an intimate setting, hosted by a jazz aficionado with performances by artists that love sharing their craft, Marietta Jazz & Jokes is the place to be every month.
